THE LEASE LEADS EVERY CONVERSATION

Your executed lease and amendments govern, subject to applicable law. These lessons do not change your agreement. Bring the relevant lease section to every discussion with AUM.

Keep the executed lease and every amendment together. Include formal notices, approved plans or consents, relevant insurance records, and current management contacts.

Maintain a working list of dates that matter to your business, including lease expiration and any notice windows you intend to evaluate. Read the executed documents before relying on a summary; a calendar reminder is not a substitute for the lease’s requirements.

Update your internal contact list when responsibility changes. The person handling invoices may be different from the person authorized to receive notices or approve work.

If you see conflicting information, bring the underlying documents to management’s attention. Do not assume an informal email changes an executed obligation.

These organizational suggestions help you locate information. They are not an interpretation of your lease or legal advice.

Before you contact AUM.

Bring the applicable lease section, property and suite, dates, and supporting records. A routine service conversation is not an amendment to the lease.
