THE LEASE LEADS EVERY CONVERSATION

Your executed lease and amendments govern, subject to applicable law. These lessons do not change your agreement. Bring the relevant lease section to every discussion with AUM.

Begin by confirming the planned date and the property’s move-in process with management. Ask which loading areas, entrances, elevators, and time windows may be used. Do not assume a building is available for unrestricted moves after hours.

Confirm which documents and approvals are required before occupancy. These may include insurance information, access requests, or information about a moving contractor; requirements depend on the property and lease.

Give management a useful contact list: your primary office contact, the person coordinating the move, and the moving company contact if applicable. Let employees know where they should arrive and how access will work.

Before the move, review any planned equipment installation, internet service, signage, or alterations through the applicable approval process. A scheduled move does not itself authorize construction or changes to the space.

After arrival, confirm how to report issues and where to find property instructions. Keep a record of questions or conditions that need follow-up. Your lease and the property’s approved procedures control.

Before you contact AUM.

Bring the applicable lease section, property and suite, dates, and supporting records. A routine service conversation is not an amendment to the lease.
